At the origin of the collaboration between Filippo Minecci and Arte dei Suonatori lies the original programme of Kromer Festival Biecz 2020 and the première programme entitled Passione, showing various musical approaches to Pietro Metastasio’s Passion of Christ. In the face of the pandemic, the full realisation of this extraordinary undertaking has been postponed. Despite the distance and inability to travel, the artists decided to pre-release fragments of the programme enriched with instrumental compositions from the period when Metastasio’s text was popular.
